If a monitor that you have setup produces multiple follow up notifications than expected, you can prevent them from being sent by using the correct operators, as explained in the case below

However, follow up emails are still sent out every hour.
To prevent monitors from triggering more than once, you must make use of the correct logical operator as monitor conditions are checked on hourly basis. If conditions are matched, the Monitor is triggered to perform assigned action(s).
In the sample case described in this article, the wrong logical operator
OR was used, whereas it must be
Apply the tags in Monitor actions with
tags - doesn't contain any of the following -
ranfollowup , so that each Monitor only runs once.
OR operator is used, the Monitor rule triggers if
ANY of the conditions match the criteria.
Conversation: Follow up date - after or
on - Today is matched, it is sufficient for the rest of the conditions to be skipped and for the whole conditions set to be considered as Matched, causing the Monitor to send emails every hour.
