While navigating through your instance, you may receive one of the following errors when you try to access some of the pages:
- Connection not secure
- Your connection to this site is not secure
This article provides information on how to troubleshoot this issue.
Connection not secure error usually occurs when you do not implement SSL on your website. If you are receiving one of the stated errors despite implementing SSL, this is probably because of some mixed content being loaded on the web site.
Correct implementation of SSL on your website is indicated with a green padlock icon next to the website's URL in the address bar. If you observe an info sign or a broken padlock icon when navigating through your Kayako website, this indicates that although the website is using an SSL certificate, there is still content served from non-HTTPS URLs.
Follow the steps below to make sure that the issue occurs due to any mixed content:
Navigate to the page where you experience the issue.
Press F12 on your keyboard.
In the developer console of your browser, in the Filter field, search for the following line:
Mixed Content: The page at 'https://...
Identify the element that is causing the error.
If any mixed content is identified, you can resolve this issue by making sure that the element is served as HTTPS instead of HTTP.
